New in town? Looking for a low-pressure, casual after-work activity? Speed Friending is for you!
Speed Friending focuses on the fun in making new friends in a casual environment all in ORLANDO! Throughout the month, there will be several themed meet-ups, each with its own unique hangout spot, for you to stop in!
Speed Friending is a FREE event! We are supported by volunteers and community donations (not required, but very much appreciated!) If you’re interested in donating, please do so through our Zeffy!
Artists
Get ready to draw your sword, literally! Bynx Coffee is your canvas for creativity as you meet new friends and share the love of art! The possibilities for creation are endless! Don’t forget to pack your supplies, bring that WIP, and get ready to meet other creatives like yourself!

Musicians
At this casual event, music has its own language, and you all know it! Burn that CD, shuffle that playlist, and find a new artist to listen to when you come to Speed Friending’s Music event! Bring what’s been on your repeat for this laid-back opportunity to share the love of music with others and fellow instrumentalists!

Writers
Love to put paper to pen? Ever play a game of telephone with a piece of paper, a few authors, and no plot, and end up with a story that goes completely off the rails? Whew! Share your most recent piece, pitch your script, and brainstorm your next fanfic with others; the possibilities are endless when you stop into a Speed Friending: Writers event!

Hobbyists
Free time is scared of you! Have a few unfinished projects you’d like to work on, or are you dabbling in a new hobby and looking for some guidance? Stop into Speeding Friending: Hobbyists, and you might meet someone whose favorite pastime is your budding new skill!

Gaming
It can be card games, board games, or video games; if it’s a game, bring it! It’s time to share and show off your skills with other gamers during this in-person lobby! Grab a slice of pizza and get ready to get your name on the leaderboards with a new friend!

Music Jam
Every last Sunday of the month, stop into Lucky Straws Boba from 7PM - 9PM for a Music Jam! Bring your instrument or come as your own, and jam out with other musicians!

Plant lovers
We love to watch you grow! Looking to trade saplings/plants/seeds and discuss the best techniques for the most beautiful garden? You’re in luck: Speed Friending: Plant Lovers encourages you to share this passion with others! This is both a chance to swap and a great opportunity to meet fellow plant enjoyers!

We are always looking for more hosts! In fact, the more the merrier! If you are interested in hosting the next Speed Friending event, please fill out our Google Form! Here you will add the best method for us to contact you and choose an event that best aligns with your interests and schedule!
We are proudly community-run! Speed Friending operates through the kindness of both our volunteers and donations. It allows us to buy supplies and keep the event free across Orlando!
