Is your Spotify Wrapped a treasure trove of local talent? Are you at a different event venue each night, from the Annie Russell Theatre to Will’s Pub to Southern Nights? Were you the only thing worse than a theatre kid in high school…a tech kid? If so, we want you on our stage team!

In addition to vendors, trading, and tomfoolery, live entertainment is a staple of Goblin Market. Live music, drag, idol groups, jugglers, cosplayers, burlesque, and even a stilt-walking balloon guy - Goblin Market is always working to bring the best local entertainment to our monthly markets and spin-off events.

And just as important as the entertainers themselves are the folks who manage them!

Our stage goblins:

• Screen and reach out to local acts interested in performing

• Create stage schedules for a smooth day-of run of show

• Set up and tear down the stage and all equipment the day of the event

• Ensure audio is clean and volume is appropriate

• Help guide performers to the stage and waiting areas

• Manage stage crowds if needed

• Make sure tips end up in the correct performer’s hands after shows

• Hype the crowd! If you clap, dance and cheer, so will they :)
  
  

The ideal goblin will:

• Have a passion for the local performance scene…connections with local performers is a plus!

• Communicate well between teams

• Perform well under pressure

• Be able to remain calm when mishaps occur (that’s showbiz)

• Have a prior understanding of basic AV equipment and safe stage set-ups

• Want to connect local audiences with stellar local performers

Goblin Market has a silly (perhaps the silliest) brand voice that naturally extends to our social media content. But a true content goblin knows that it’s not just liking TikTok videos and replicating what’s trendy! It’s about creating something that makes our audience laugh, share and connect month after month.

Our content goblins:

• Create short-form and long-form video content

• Plan photo and video shoots

• Edit video content in a timely manner

• Capture footage of guests at the market

• Interview guests as needed

• Stay up-to-date on trending sounds and video formats

The ideal goblin will:

• Have the on-camera “it” factor

• Be proficient with social media platforms like TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube

• Understand filming and editing for different social platforms

• Know how to shoot and edit fast-paced short form videos

• Be respectful when asking permission to film guests

• Love documenting events in creative ways!

Goblin Market is seeking to contract a knowledgeable advocate for the disabled community with experience organizing events to serve as an accessibility consultant. The Goblin Court cares deeply about producing events that are safe, considerate, and fun for people of all abilities. In this capacity, the accessibility consultant will work with the Goblin Market accessibility team to ensure that our events meet our high standards for guest and vendor experience.

The accessibility consultant can expect to:

• Work with the accessibility team to anticipate event friction points and come up with reasonable solutions

• In the event that friction cannot be avoided, help to troubleshoot on the spot

• Scout and visit event venues to measure walkways, assess foot traffic and calculate acceptable vendor space allotments

• Advise on appropriate language to use on social media, promotional materials, signage, etc.
  

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a member of the disabled community or a strong ally

• Have experience consulting on matters concerning the disabled community

• Have experience organizing and executing events with large crowd sizes (6,000+)

• Have experience working with communities of different mental and physical disabilities, both visible and invisible

• Have a passion for producing events that are enjoyable and accessible to persons of all abilities

This position is hybrid; the consultant must reside within Central Florida and have transportation to event venues in Oviedo, Orlando and other parts of Central Florida. The consultant will be employed as a contractor with compensation of $15.00 per hour.
