Goblin Market, named Orlando Weekly's Best Pop-Up Market, is in need of talented, driven interns who are passionate about fostering our local creative community! In just two short years, Goblin Market has grown to a staple event on the Orlando cultural calendar with over 6,000 visitors each and every month. From local, handmade art to food trucks, trading, live entertainment, fan meet-ups and MORE, Goblin Market is a glittering smorgasbord of all things artistic, whimsical and FUN!

Sound like something up your alley? Consider applying for an internship with us to be a part of putting on Orlando’s first and only discount art market! We’re looking for folks to help with content creation, volunteer management, event management, stage management, graphic design and more. Whether you’re looking for a resume builder, a way to meet like-minded creatives or just want to see how the proverbial sausage gets made, the Goblin King wants YOU. All positions are contracted on a $15 per hour basis with opportunities to join the team permanently if desired and work performance is satisfactory. Whether you just want a taste of the Gob life for a semester or want to go the distance, we’d love to hear from you!

  • Content creation

    Do you speak in TikTok references? Do you have a PhD in doomscrolling? Are you always convincing your friends to do something stupid on video? Get in Gob, we need you on the content team!

    Goblin Market has a silly (perhaps the silliest) brand voice that naturally extends to our social media content. But a true content goblin knows that it’s not just liking TikTok videos and replicating what’s trendy! It’s about creating something that makes our audience laugh, share and connect month after month.

    Our content goblins:

    • Create short-form and long-form video content

    • Plan photo and video shoots

    • Edit video content in a timely manner

    • Capture footage of guests at the market

    • Interview guests as needed

    • Stay up-to-date on trending sounds and video formats

    The ideal goblin will:

    • Have the on-camera “it” factor

    • Be proficient with social media platforms like TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube

    • Understand filming and editing for different social platforms

    • Know how to shoot and edit fast-paced short form videos

    • Be respectful when asking permission to film guests

    • Love documenting events in creative ways!

  • Event Management

    Do you plan a killer birthday or Halloween party? Do you love a theme? Is your notes app full of various checklists? If so, we want you on our event management team!


    Of course Goblin Market hosts its monthly market, but did you know we also host pop-up spinoff events as well? It’s true! In addition to our signature market, we also produce maid cafes, clothing/art/media swaps, smaller themed markets, creator meetups and more. But the Goblin King can’t plan it all…we need your help!


    Our event management goblins:

    • Help plan and execute Goblin Court events

    • Scout potential event venues and help negotiate contracts

    • Plan and manage performers and other entertainment

    • Help conceptualize and order event-specific merchandise

    • Create and manage event run of show

    • Communicate with vendors and other key players to ensure events run smoothly

    The ideal goblin will:

    • Have past events planning experience (especially if it involved the Central Florida queer/alternative scene!)

    • Be a strong online and in-person communicator

    • Understand how to plan events that people go wild for

    • Have a good working rapport with local performers, organizers and hosts

    • Connections in the events space a plus

  • Volunteer Management

    Are you the mom friend of the group? Do you love yapping with all different folks? Do you think volunteering makes the world go ‘round? If so, we want you on our volunteer management team!


    Goblin Market has anywhere from 5 to nearly 50 hardworking goblins volunteering their time at each of our events, and we want to make sure they have the best experience possible! As an official 501(c)3 nonprofit, Goblin Market only exists because of the contributions of time and talent from volunteers each month. 


    Our volunteer management goblins:

    • Make sure all of our events are adequately staffed

    • Field volunteer applications and assign shifts accordingly

    • Communicate with volunteers leading up to the event and on the day of

    • Ensure all volunteers check in and check out properly

    • Train new and existing volunteers each month so everyone knows what’s what before they arrive the day of

    • Answer volunteer questions

    • Constantly hype up the Gob volunteer experience to others!

    The ideal goblin will:

    • Communicate well (like SO well) with different types of people online and in-person

    • Have prior experience managing or leading groups of people

    • Not be afraid to speak loudly to get people’s attention!

    • Feel comfortable giving directions

    • Have a warm demeanor that makes folks feel welcome and appreciated

    • Love spreadsheets

    • Be passionate about helping others find the task/team that suits them best!

  • Graphic Design

    Is graphic design your passion…and your curse? If so, we want you on our graphic design team!


    In addition to photo and video content, Goblin Market also publishes a high volume of designed content: event posters, performer announcements, Patreon graphics, merch displays, event maps and more. If you’re an aspiring graphic designer looking to add one of Central Florida’s strongest visual brands to your design portfolio, let’s talk!


    Our design goblins:

    • Receive design requests from multiple departments

    • Plan, sketch, draft and execute designs

    • Create physical and digital illustrations for designs

    • Add and tweak design typography


    The ideal goblin will:

    • Have established knowledge of design and illustration programs like Canva, ProCreate, Adobe Suite, etc.

    • Be able to manage multiple projects at once

    • Be able to work on tight deadlines

    • Know how to receive direction and critiques on design work and execute accordingly

    • Communicate well with non-design-minded team members

    • Work as quickly and efficiently as possible without sacrificing quality

    • Have big, ambitious design ideas…we love trying something different!

    • Have a strong personal art style, but be able to adapt to work to Goblin Market’s brand style as well

  • Stage Management

    Is your Spotify Wrapped a treasure trove of local talent? Are you at a different event venue each night, from the Annie Russell Theatre to Will’s Pub to Southern Nights? Were you the only thing worse than a theatre kid in high school…a tech kid? If so, we want you on our stage team!


    In addition to vendors, trading, and tomfoolery, live entertainment is a staple of Goblin Market. Live music, drag, idol groups, jugglers, cosplayers, burlesque, and even a stilt-walking balloon guy - Goblin Market is always working to bring the best local entertainment to our monthly markets and spin-off events.


    And just as important as the entertainers themselves are the folks who manage them!


    Our stage goblins:

    • Screen and reach out to local acts interested in performing

    • Create stage schedules for a smooth day-of run of show

    • Set up and tear down the stage and all equipment the day of the event

    • Ensure audio is clean and volume is appropriate

    • Help guide performers to the stage and waiting areas

    • Manage stage crowds if needed

    • Make sure tips end up in the correct performer’s hands after shows

    • Hype the crowd! If you clap, dance and cheer, so will they :)

    The ideal goblin will:

    • Have a passion for the local performance scene…connections with local performers is a plus!

    • Communicate well between teams

    • Perform well under pressure

    • Be able to remain calm when mishaps occur (that’s showbiz)

    • Have a prior understanding of basic AV equipment and safe stage set-ups

    • Want to connect local audiences with stellar local performers
